It’s been a while since we announced any news about AstianGO, our search engine, because we’ve been working on offering users an independent search engine that respects their privacy. And now, here is AstianGO 3.0.
AstianGO is the default search engine for Midori Browser, and in this version it has been revamped, including incredible features.

What does AstianGO offer compared to other search engines?
- Your own index is the most important thing.
- Privacy: we do not store search logs.
- We do not profile users.
- We do not sell user data or searches.
- We do not sell invasive advertising, and while we hope to offer advertising in the future, this advertising will be developed in Astian and will be ethical, without telemetry or profiling. This is in the future.
- The entire search engine is hosted in Germany to further guarantee user privacy.
- We do not control or censor information.
What is behind AstianGO?
Behind AstianGO is a series of open-source technologies that come together to form AstianGO. Among these technologies are:
- Apache Kafka.
- Apache Zoopeeker.
- OpenSearch.
- Laravel.
- VueJS.
- Quasar Framework
- OpenSUSE
- Among others.
What does the future hold for AstianGO?
Continue improving the graphical interface, improve search speed and results, and be a benchmark in privacy-related searches, And if you’re wondering whether AstianGO will be open source, that’s something we’re still considering, just as we’re considering which components of the search engine to release.
Free and independent searches. :-)
