Midori Browser 11.6.5 is a minor update that paves the way for future integrations within the Midori ecosystem. This update includes:
- New Tab improvements.
- Ad blocker improvements.
- improvements to the Slideview
But without further ado, we present Midori 11.6.5
Improvements to the integration AstianGO
AstianGO is a search engine that we have constantly improved, and in previous versions of Midori it was set as the default search engine due to integration problems within the browser; it would reset and set Google as the default search engine. Now that problem has been solved.
Advertising and AI With Midori Protect
At Astian, with the Midori Browser, we have always been committed to user privacy and security, but now we are even more committed and working hard. Our adblocker has changed and been updated not only to be more informative but also to block the new threats that are constantly being updated.

According to https://adblock.turtlecute.org, with the ad blocker integrated into Midori, we have a 97% blocking rate, surpassing blockers like those in Vivaldi and Opera.

But there’s more to security. With everything related to AI, we know that users have the freedom to use AI, and many platforms like Gmail, ChatGPT, etc., can be attacked with something called prompt injection. Midori now protects users, although it’s disabled by default, the user is free to enable it.

Midori Browser New Tab and marketplace
We continue to improve the customization options of the Midori browser, and the New Tab is a highly customizable element. That’s why we’ve added a marketplace feature, so users can add new widgets, new themes, new wallpapers, and personalize their Midori experience to their liking,
The marketplace connects to https://marketplace.astian.org, is open source, and the repository is located here: https://github.com/goastian/marketplace

This marketplace will initially be populated with widgets developed by Astian, but this option will also be available to other developers.
